Nestled on the wooded shore of Arbutus Lake, near Traverse City, Michigan, our independent publishing house publishes books about Michigan history, travel, architecture, mysteries, nature, food and books for kids. Since 1998, we have been honored with awards for quality book publication.

In 2002, Historic Cottages of Mackinac Island won the Michigan Notable Book Award. This title is still in print and continues to be of interest.

In 2009, Asylum for the Insane: History of Kalamazoo State Hospital by William Decker, M.D. won the  Notable Book award from the Michigan Library.

In 2011, Vintage Views Along the West Michigan Pike: from Sand Trails to US-31 by Christine Byron and Thomas Wilson won the Michigan Notable Book Award.
